Workshop Body Rhythm Festival – Hamburgo (Germany)
Germany’s international festival for body percussion, voice and movement enters its fifth round and opens its doors on the Whitsun weekend from 7 to 10 June 2019: a lively, rhythmic and intercultural festival in the cosmopolitan city on the Elbe.
THE FESTIVAL: inspiration, exchange and fun in making music together – everything is possible, from a taster course and kidz workshop to the Full Weekend Festival Pass, which offers 40 workshops during the three festival days. As a highlight of the festival show on Sunday evening at the Fabrik Hamburg, next to the top-class international team of lecturers, there will be invited “Special Guests” on stage. The Body Rhythm Festival will open on Friday evening with an interactive concert by Peter Stavrum Nielsen and Rune Thorsteinsson from Denmark.
THE WORKSHOPS: The themes of the courses are body percussion, voice improvisation, rhythm games, choreography, Brazilian and Nigerian rhythms and dances, stage work, rhythm pedagogic, Konnakol and Taketina. This all without instruments, of course, because at the Body Rhythm Festival your own body becomes a playing surface. The common sound experience and the experiences in the group are in the foreground.
THE PARTICIPANTS: There are workshops for both beginners and experienced participants. This gives everybody the opportunity to start at their own level. All those who want to expand their rhythmic and musical repertoire or simply want to have a try at body percussion are welcome.
More than 160 participants from over 20 countries visited the Festival 2018!
